Introduction

The Pakistan Veterinary Journal (PVJ) is a quarterly publication and is being published regularly since 1981 by the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan.  This is the only scientific peer reviewed journal in Veterinary Sciences in Pakistan. Original research papers, review, extension and clinical articles on the production and diseases of animals, including studies in comparative medicine, are published in this journal. Moreover, professional news and information of interest to the veterinarians and allied professionals working in veterinary hospitals, livestock and poultry farms, research and teaching institutions, animal feed and pharmaceutical industry are also included in PVJ. The journal is also read, abstracted and indexed internationally.

Volume No.32 Issue No. 2, 2012 is available online now Pakistan Veterinary Journal has got impact factor 0.707 in JCR 2010 released late on June 28, 2011. It is worth mentioning that among Veterinary Sciences journals of the world (145), this journal has been ranked at 75th position.
